| Heart for Haiti In the wake of the recent earthquake that devastated Haiti AGF is developing a new campaign: Heart for Haiti. The campaign will work to address the need for self-sustainability in a disaster stricken community; build the morale and dignity of the Haitian people; positively affect artisans and their nuclear family; and develop relationships that will extend into long term sustainability efforts. AGF will be selling Haitian inspired bracelets and Haitian finished T-shirts to promote our efforts. Project HOME
Through micro-financing supplies, directing craft towards marketability and teaching
small business development skills, ‘Project HOME,’ AGF’s development program,
partners with local artisans to sell their handmade goods in the United States. To be eligible to participate in the program artisans must agree to take on apprentices
with the goal that younger generations will develop a strong skill set. AGF teaches
the importance of using materials that are sustainable and have the least impact on Earth. |
