Where We Work
Where We WorkOur founder, Elizabeth Firgeleski, after experiencing the 2004 tsunami firsthand and witnessing the extreme poverty that existed, initiated our first partnerships in Thailand and Indonesia. AGF, therefore, started out as a gesture of gratitude and an unquenchable desire to immediately improve the living conditions of these disaster stricken communities. However, AGF’s love for humanity envisions alleviating poverty for the estimated 1.3 million people in developing regions that live at $1.25 a day or less. AGF’s newest partnership is in Peru and plans are to expand globally. AGF believes working with individuals and engaging in ‘hands-on projects’ fosters local economies, fights social inequalities, and leads to the long-term economic development of the country as a whole.
