Project HOME
Our primary development project, the Project HOME network, currently consists of more than two dozen women and men working in Thailand, Indonesia and Peru. We help artisans blend traditional craft methods with contemporary design to create bracelets, scarves and handbags from organic, sustainable materials such as linen, sterling silver and recycled Thai garments.
|
| Project HOME provides micro-grants & training to help artisans grow their business.
|
Because lack of capital is a major obstacle to growth for so many small businesses around the world, we provide upfront grants for materials—essentially paying for a portion of each order before we receive it. We then sell these colorful accessories at boutiques throughout the United States, the British Virgin Islands and online.
We provide education in communications, pricing, invoicing and other small business skills to help our artisan friends grow their businesses. Each artist who works with us takes on interns and trains other community members as a way to employ and educate people in their community and keep their craft traditions alive.

AGF products are currently in 125+ stores, and growing, through the ongoing efforts of our dedicated sales team. Lack of connections to buyers is another barrier to success for so many, and AGF bridges that gap. Through trend sharing, small grants, and small business development in the field, and the hard work of our US-based sales team members to forge relationships and share the AGF mission with shop owners, we help build economy where it is needed. |
