We search the world for hardworking artists or groups of artists yearning for a way to transform their creativity into a better life. We then assess the specific factors holding them back and work with them individually to address those needs.
Building businesses means more than increasing their average daily wage. In places such as Thailand and Bali, much of an artist’s income is based on tourism. When global events like tsunamis, political unrest and even increased airfare keeps tourists away, the market goes with them. Even with a strong tourist season, other factors limit growth: lack of capital to invest in materials and tools, knowledge of market trends abroad, modern technology or business connections. We encourage artisans to grow their businesses.
